We live in one of the nicer parts of the city, architecturally (and otherwise) speaking. Pac Heights is loaded with lovely Victorian flats and amazingly huge mansions. There are sweeping vistas overlooking the Golden Gate and tree lined streets. It really is pretty.
Then there are these crapped out 1960s and 70s cheap, modern apartment buildings, which probably replaced much better structures. These things suck. They have ugly facades and aluminum window frames and nasty awnings. Often they defy imagination. They really are bad.
They exist all over the city. In a strange way I enjoy their awfulness. Now you can too.
